The Hedgehog Hideaway

Self catering waterside glamping

The Ultimate glamping experience

Remember those perfect camping trips as a child? The sun was always shining, the food tasted better, the grass was always littered with wildflowers… but the truth is that fun as it may be, the beds were uncomfortable at best and who wants to get dressed lying on your back in a dew-soaked tent then walk half a mile to the muddy shower block?

So we decided that the hedgehog hideaway would be different… all the best bits of camping, minus all the ‘less fun’ bits!

The Hideaway is furnished with a full-size double bed (a real one, not a camp one), has a comfy 2 seater sofa in front of a wood-burning stove, features its own, outside, hot water shower and composting toilet just next door (If you prefer, there is a mains connected hot shower, with composting toilet, just a short stroll away from the hut). There is also a fire-pit outside that you can cook on or simply relax by.  We wanted the Hedgehog Hideaway to feel like a cosy, proper room – a place to really relax and a true home from home.

With a deck overlooking Brackenwood lake, you can enjoy all of the romance of the great outdoors, without any of the associated discomforts.

Plus, for extra warm fuzzy-ness, we donate £5 from every booking to Devon Wildlife Trust – so every time you stay here you are giving a little something back!
